The non-profit Family Rauch Foundation has once again concluded its annual donation program with impressive contributions. The focus is on regional organisations that were able to make valuable purchases thanks to the financial donations.

Haldenwang, 22nd January 2025. The two projects at the end of 2024 impressively illustrate the significance of the donations: The rescue dog team of the Allgaeu Mountain Rescue received urgently needed ski pants, and the Astrid Lindgren School in Kempten was able to purchase a parallel tandem, creating new opportunities for participation. This support is an example of how the foundation specifically supports organisations that enrich their daily operations through new acquisitions.

Rescue dog team delighted with ski pants
The rescue dog team experienced a pre-Christmas gift: Thanks to the donation from the non-profit Family Rauch Foundation, valued at nearly 6,000 euros, 20 durable ski pants were purchased. This specialised equipment is essential, as the dog guides are often deployed in challenging high-alpine terrain, such as avalanche rescues or searches for missing person. Xaver Hartmann, head of the rescue dog team, emphasised: ‘Our team members are spread across the entire operational area. Optimal equipment is therefore essential. We are very grateful for this support.‘ The rescue dog team currently has 14 active members and handles more than 20 missions per year.

Parallel tandem for the Astrid Lindgren School
The Astrid Lindgren School in Kempten also received a generous donation of 7,000 euros for the acquisition of a parallel tandem. This specialised bicycle allows students with physical disabilities to pedal together with a care worker. Heike Dunschen, principal of the Astrid Lindgren School, explained: ‘This tandem offers our students an entirely new form of participation and inclusion. We sincerely thank the Family Rauch Foundation for this opportunity.’

Ongoing support from the Family Rauch Foundation
The non-profit Family Rauch Foundation, established by the late MAHA founder Winfried Rauch, has been committed to the region for many years. Approximately 100,000 euros are distributed annually to local organisations and emergency service associations.
Anton Klotz, Chairman of the Foundation Board and former District Administrator, emphasised: ‘Every donation is a matter close to our hearts. It is important to us that our support directly benefits those who need it most.’
